What is Too Hot?

Notes:

Testing Conducted by the military has found two thresholds for heat strain.

At 100.5 º F core a person’s ability to react and reason begins to diminish. This is a important consideration for tasks that are complicated or have a high risk of injury or damage to equipment.

At 101.5 º F core the person’s body is beginning to develop negative reactions to the exposure. There may be no outward signs of heat strain at this threshold but the body processes which will eventually lead to heat stroke have begun and must be reversed. If reversed in a timely manner no ill effect is expected.
