Mine Rescue Pilot Study Individual Results – Low Stress Level

Notes:

This is a example of a miner who handled the heat well.

During the first 1/3 of the exercise a hot stope (100 º F, 98% humidity) was explored including walking up a ramp.

As you can see his temperature climbed to about 100.5 º F during this part of the training.

The remainder of the exercise was spent building a seal and setting up a jackleg to install anchor bolts. This part of the exercise, in warm but cooler than the stope area (85 º F, 60% humidity) did not add to his heat load. It also was not cool enough to reduce his slightly elevated temperature.
