A similar example of the hydration benefits. In March (orange) this person wore a t-shirt during a blizzard when we went down the intake shaft. This reduced his core by just over 1 º F. The effect soon wore off and he ended up at about 100.8 º F by the end of the exercise.

In November, he drank for a brief period during the start of the exercise then decided not to drink any more for the last 90 minutes. He had consumed about ½ liter of iced water. The result was the same as when he didn’t wear a coat. He cooled rapidly, then quickly heated up, achieving about the same core temperature.
